We love cricket, dont we? Then lets face it, love is blind. We have no right to find faults in our beloved. It would be rude to make snide remarks about the one we love, especially when our soul-mate is in trouble. When celebrate success in one voice, why not share the burden of failure too?
The Indian Cricket Team, if I am not wrong, comprises of human beings. Again, I dare to believe that they are made of flesh and blood like us. Of course they earn a tad more than a majority of us, but lets face it their hard-work and luck earned them the right place at the right time.
The debacle against the Kiwis is an unfortunate development. Despite my general disorientation and a relative dislike for the game, I consider it as an effective means of expressing my patriotism. It gives me a chance, along with a billion fellow citizens, to pray in harmony, albeit in different languages and following variegated rituals. The very fact that the Indian Cricket Team creates an opportunity for Unity in Diversity makes it lovable, respectable and commendable.
Let us all rally behind them to bring home the World Cup. Maybe they are deliberately loosing in NZ to keep our expectations down...and subsequently surprise us with the World Cup! Cheers and Best of Luck!
