Is Abhijeet the Indian Idol?
The main host of this programmed is Shaan, A very talented singer, he has so many shows to his credit, he has music albums, he is in the Indian television since now 15 years, He was very young when he started hosting programmers, he was around 19 years at that time.
THE FIELD
Lets check out the field, there is a program on American Television, called American Idol and there are some other armature participation programs on different channels of India, it usually takes America a lot of time to copy Indian shows, but this time around they have a quickly copied T.V.program anyway best of luck to all the contestants of American Idol and Indian Idol.
THE GOAL
Indian Idol is a program aimed to demystify the field of actors, singers and other artists, they all look like super men in the eyes of Indians, and they have enormous following. This program attempts to present new talents, attempts to search new people and let the whole of India participate in this search, in their trials and in their struggles, this is a showcase for understanding the meaning of talent and probably inspire other youngsters to see the requirements of art to reach the stages of India and stages of Indian Television.
THE FORMAT
There are Judges who fight with each other to prove how good their trainee is, there are some who do not hesitate to be mean to the budding artists to show to India, how actual the real field of art and films is tough. There are some Judges who criticize other judges who are a guest on the show, showing ADITI DEVA BHAVA , there are some very sincere senior artists who really come as good judges and good trainers to youngsters, they participate in different cities to cover the whole of India.
THE ART
The participants are given some tests like songs and some moods to replicate in their own style or some style of past masters, the are invited to sing in front of cameras, their head are usually tainted with peroxide (red) and they are made to wear very shiny and uncomfortable garments, I am sure these garments takes away half of their talents, they must declare on the mike how much respect they have for their adopted gurus right in front of the cameras and let the whole of India watch it. They should declare their love for their program guru. These boys and girls who learned their art by their own hard work must give the credit to the guru. They cannot claim anything good for themselves on this show. This will be very bad to say Lata Mangeshker owes her voice to somebody or Mohammed Rafi is indebted to some guru. Respect of guru and elders is ok; this program is promotion of youngsters, when these boys and girls are made to show like they are promoting gurus is not ok. That too in front of whole of India. What career they will have after this show. Their guru’s work will grow, their guru’s offers will grow, the purpose of the program is to promote youngsters. A guru is a guru is a guru.
If there are winners on this show, till the day they die they cannot claim independence from the confessions they made on the show, they will be accountable to their words all their life. This is not a very good mood for talent to flourish, he will loose very little he has. Grooming talent needs independence and breathing space, give them the stage, some hints and let them breath, see what a wonderful program was BOOGIE WOOGIE, there was no meddling by program producers with the talent of the performers. That is the best format of all for grooming new talents in India. An engineer becoming a builder, what will he reply to the professor when he will claim the earnings of engineer as his guru.
REAL IDOL (SHAAN)
My 1 crore votes will go to this humble servant of art SHAAN, he is the real INDIAN IDOL, he is a very good person, his hosting is good, because of him this program reached the finals, if this person was not there, the judges would not have become judge, the boys and girls would not have become known faces in India, the show would have failed long time ago, this person has grown up in front of India hosting many many shows and we have watched him interacting with participants, we have watched him interacting with elderly ladies, we have watched him interacting with elder persons, we have watched him interacting elder artists, he is a pure pleasure to watch and he is smiling and very sociable and very very humble, I have never seen him angry in front of the camera in the last 15 years, he has wonderful manners, I will advise all Indian youngsters to get inspired by him and try to copy him and try to emulate him, he is more talented than all the judges who came on the show, he is a better host than the host of American Idol show, he is a better judge than the judges of American idol show, my choice of INDIAN IDOL is SHAAN. Because he is the glue who has kept this show on air since the beginning.
REAL IDOL (SONU NIGAM)
This is another personality, grew up on Indian television, he started same time shaan started and we have seen this person as a host as a artist as a singer as a youngster and as a established star, these 2 people gave Indian television a image of young India specially the culture of India, the respectful nature of India and their good smiles. My choice of Indian Idol is SONU NIGAM.
Please all the young budding artists of India, you can inspire to copy these 2 guys, copy their smiles, copy their talents, copy their struggles, copy their sweat, copy their efforts and copy to become like them. The other trainers and gurus want to imprison you and make you their subjects all their lives. Who wins on this show is a poor guy; he will never be able to attain his freedom from what all they said on this show. Only BOOGIE WOOGIE was a program which did not look like shylock in promoting youngsters. All other programs are a trap; please beware of the traps youngsters.
Before I end this useless review, as we are on the subject of Indian Idol, I would like to add another fantastic human being India can be proud to copy is Dr.Abul Kalam, this slave of knowledge and learning will be remembered till whatever time India will remain. He will be the hero of India
