Indian postal service is the government operated postal system in India. The general public refers to the Indian postal service as ‘the post office’. Indian postal service provide many facilities like- general or registered mail, parcel post, speed post, greeting post, express post, media post, e post and special courier service known as EMS-speed post. It also provides us with various financial services like international money transfer, instant money order service, money order, mutual funds. Various post office savings schemes like National Savings Certificate, Kisan Vikas Patra, Recurring Deposits and Term Deposits are also available.
Here, I want to talk about National Saving Certificates. National Savings Certificate, popularly known as NSC, is a time-tested tax saving instrument that combines adequate returns with high safety. But Alas! Things went up wrong. Actullaly, My father purchased NSCS of Rs. 67000 during May 2004 to July2004 in the name of my Mother and himself through SAS Agent ANITA AGARWAL. He had been dealing with her for the last 20 years so there was no way of thinking something else. However, in today’s materialistic world nobody can’t keep his/her honesty long.
She fled away along with her Husband and Son from her Vaishali, Ghaziabad Residence along with the NSCS of her Clients. This thing we came to know when my Father went up to her resi to collect his NSC. He found her resi locked. He tried to contact her on her all possible nos but all was in vain. She was missin and nobody was knowing about her WHEREABOUTS. My father informed about her missing to Indera Prastha Head Post-Office. Not only my father But also many other persons went up there to complain about the not -contactable of Anita Agarwal. PO Officials gave assurance that they will take adequate action against her.
Later on, Police performed his role and was being able to catch Anita and recovered NSCS from her. Subsequently, Police handed over all those NSCS in the safe Custody of Indra Prastha Head Post-Office, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, I P Estate, New Delhi. Since then, my father has visited that place several times to collect his NSCS but he is not being able to get that due to non-coperation of PO Officials. He has also written several Letters to Sr. Post Master IP HPO to deliver his NSCS but neither he has received NSCS nor any satisfactory reply from them.
He gave first reminder on 13th of December 2006 and second on 17th of May 2007 to VIGILENCE OFFICE DELHI CIRCLE. No assurance is there that whether he will be able to receive his NSCS or not. He has been keeping in the dark about the receiving of NSCS. Now I m not able to understand that where should I go and to whom to get my NSCS. If the Govt. itself is not able to help its Citizens then I don’t know what sort of trust we should keep in Our Indian Postal System. Anyways, through MouthShut, I want want to make people aware about the kind of agony one has to suffer being the Service-Seeker of Indian Post-Offices.
Our Indian Officers are still sleeping and they have no concern about people’s troubles. They do not bother about the reputation of their own Department even.
