If I say that ISB has been successful in shifting the limelight from IIMs to its own campus, would I be wrong? Atleast not this year. Everyone is talking of the skyrocketed pay packages raked in by the students this year, specially the ones who DID IT without playing ’kaun banega crorepati’.
But before everyone starts preparing for ISB as they do for the IIMs, they will have to seriously retrospect where they stand. Ok that hard labour pays and all that inspiring stuff that the coaching institutes feed you, but this college is for sure not for those who did not have a strong academic record. Mixed with this is the fact that the fees is too high and also that it takes in students that have a preferably managerial work experience.
Please note that the students that got high packages had above normal work experiences and a very strong academic background.so if you are still in the college, get the best grades on your sheets and if you are working, try to shift the gear to some managerial or atleast more challenging team lead roles, before you start dreaming of being one who walks on the podium with a robe to get his degree at the ISB.
