I already Have your card and as they advise you do not provide surcharge waver. I got the card recently(Nov 2011) and have done 4 -6 transactions. initially I did not observe it. 3rd transaction I observed that they Do not actually provide surcharge waver of 2.5% . They do it this way - " Increasing the amount by 2.5% and then decreasing " this is not called giving Waver!
people cant realize that u do a add 2.5% and then deduct the same amount by making us pay the surcharges intern!
eg. My bill on Indian Oil bunk showed Rs.1000, Ideal way of waver on surcharge would be 1000-(1000*2.5%)=~975
But when the swipe the card: card transaction shows " 1025 -25=1000" what advantage I am getting here? I just paid the amount with surcharge! 2 times I mailed them. 1s they revered and second time, no response. now I don’t use this card. And their IVR(customtakeouter care Number doesn’t work also!)
@ Citibank marketing: Please stop cheating people with false advertising at-least!
Don’t go for it for waver part.
