’’E-MAIL’’ I think this was the first word I ever heard when somebody began telling me about what Internet really was about.
Since then the Internet has become my own personal home.A home in which I can share things, see things, experience them and express things.
E-mail which means electronic mail is one of the biggest revolution according to me to happen in the Technological world.
It save’s a lot for time and overall it is absolutely free(except the Telephone bill and Internet charges).
’’I am sick’’ (hey! don’t take the real meaning).By sick I refer to seeing the Ads of Indiatimes of my daily newspaper(TOI).
’’WE OFFER 10MB SPACE’’, ’’WE ARE BETTER THAN REDIFF AND HOTMAIL’’, ’’WE ARE FREE’’.Well this what the ads conveyed.
Well so coming to the points.
After looking at all this daily ads, I decided to take my time and do a small research as to how service of Indiatimes was and what was it’s overall performance.
Here is what I found out and here are some points to help you navigate there mail service better.
REGISTRATION
Well this is a simple process and I could easily register with their service, and I could easily get my desired user ID.
You chances of getting your own??Well I would say it could only be 45%.As after their daily ads everyone is sure to be registered.
STEP ASIDE, LOGGING IN
After having a easy registration process, it took me to the place from where I could log in.
The logging in process was very fast, and the new look was absolutely great.I liked it very much.
There was also a log in form in their index page.Man that is what I call, easy navigation and comfort.
YOU HAVE NOW LOGGED IN
As said above, their mail home had a good interface.
All the links were neatly arranged on the left and the right frame has information about the Mail’s received and the Bulk Mail.
going along with this information was a calender and other stuff’s.
YOU’VE GOT MAIL
This was part of my research, as I wanted to know as to how fast the mail reached the in box.
I logged in from yahoo account and sent a mail to Indiatimes.And the moment after getting the message, ’’YOU’RE MAIL HAS BEEN SENT’’ I refreshed the right frame and I sent mail was there.
Man that is a what I call fast delivery.
MOM CAN I SEND A MAIL
After this dam good results, I decided to check out there Compose(Send Mail) part.
I sent a mail to my indiainfo account and the message was soon there.That too at a fast rate.
They have too version one which is a simple version and one which has applet.
With simple version you can send a plain text mail, while with the new version you can enhance the looks of the mail
Make it bold, color it, etc.
SO HERE ARE THE OPTIONS
Well, in this part they have the same option which you may find you current mail address options section.
you can add signature, check other mail and other such related stuff.
All off them worked out really very well.
My Briefcase
Well, they provide you with a good briefcase, in which you can store your photos and lots of other stuff.
Well that’s great, I would say , going along with mail.A 30 MB space extra for it.
For all those who don’t know, what a Briefcase on the Net it.Well let me tell you a briefcase is a special storage place where you can store you photo’s or other stuff and then show it to other people on the Net.
You can even share it with others.One such site providing a good briefcase is Yahoo!.
My Calender
Indiatimes also provides you with a good calender which is a real good one.You can set up reminder and mark certain events.
I use it in my daily life and find it really helpful.
HELP
This is the bets part of their service.Yes I really mean my words when I write this.
Just click on the help links on the left frame and a window will pop up giving you help regarding who to send mail and such other stuff regarding their mail service.
This is a must for every beginner to their service.
LET’S LOG OUT NOW AND CHECK THE OVERALL PERFORMANCE AND MY SUGGESTIONS
Well I had a good time doing my own little research on their service and found that this was a service to be really checked out and one that cannot be missed.
They are very accurate on every service which I checked out regarding their mail service.
Their ADS are really worth and I you too should sign up with them
I personally feel that you will really enjoy their service.
