I wanted to send a gift something to my girl friend for the valentine’s day. Being very far from her currently I thought eShopping would be the best. I went to indiatimes shopping and found a perfume (Attar) in a beautiful glass bottle suitable. The site said a free valentine’s day card would be sent with the message given by me. I ordered the same and made the payment. The order was delivered on time. However to my shock the bottle of perfume was broken inside the packing itself. Also there was no card as suggested by the site. I however felt that this may be because of transportation and a site of repute like indiatimes would not do such a thing. I went to the site and searched for some help. I made a complaint in the complaints section. However to my chagrin even after 2 weeks there was no response. There is a customer service number given at the top of the webpage(very small and barely visible). I tried calling the number for 3 continuous days and as would have it couldn’t get anyone to talk(the phone was either engaged or it kept ringing). Also later I noticed that there is no section on the site where anything said or reported by a customer has been displayed by the site or any reviews given. I guess all such requests fall on deaf ears.
