This is about a horrible experience of my shopping with indiatimes shopping network..i have placed order for a dual sim card touch screen phone after watching the advertisement in times of india, by phone order..i did not know it was a decision which will screw up my happiness like this..when i received the phone i found it was very flimsy and not worth the money. I decided to return it..after calling customer service, according to their advice i tried to ship it back to the address mentioned in one of the mails received from them. No courier company will ship it since it is a mobile phone.
I had to spend 3 days driving from town to town.. I live in goa. I had to make two trips to mapusa (8 kms one way) and one trip to panjim (16kms one way). When i asked customer service about other options, they insisted that i have to ship it back as their logistics partner has no operation in goa.. But they have reached me the product thru their partner!! Because they wasnted my money!!! It made me driving miles to find a courier company who will ship this back... Finally after numerous phone calls, their logistics people have arranged to pick up the package..
If they could do it, why the hell they made me run around so much for days?? Do you have an explanation??
After shipping the article., i have mailed the awb number of the package. I have received a mail in return stating that the article has been received on 31st oct and a refund will be processed in 7 working days ( i have the copy of the mail). Then after that another mail comes from with information that the refund will be reaching me in 15-20 working days!!!! How can a company be sending mails contradicting like this?? Now that it is over 24 days, no refund.. No one knows when it will be done..one of the customer support person informed me on 22nd nov that the delay is because i have sent the package to the wrong vendor. When i read the mail i received which confirming the return receipt of package. He did not have an answer.. Then promises that one of the company person will call me in 15 mins.. It has been over 2 days now.. No calls.. I called customer service again a while ago.
Now they say it is going to take 3 working days more. What kind of a circus are these people running? Do you think we need to be begging and pleading for a refund of a sub-standard quality product they sold ? We trust themand place orders. Now they have cheated me...i am posting my experience in blogs and all the available forums...i do not intend to sit back and watch this kind of malpractice is happening.... My last mail to one negi who advised me about the return policy, has not been replied..
