Just now I went through all the reviews of indiatimes.com. To my shock everybody had very bad experience...so I am thinking twice before I start writing....
For the last one and half year I am outside India. This is the portal which keeps me updated all the happening of India. As soon I stepped in the office I saw headlines from Indiatimes.com, timesofindia.com and my native language local newspaper site i.e. esakal.com (though I am gujju, I can speak/write/read marathi very well) I have also subscripted to daily newspaper of indiatimes.com. It works fine. I do get mails on regular basic. I never had problem with these sections. I will also recommend seeing ndtv.com. This is another good site for those who want to know happening thing in India.
Mail service:
I accept the fact that their mail service is not as good as others. Like yahoo, Hotmail.
Their servers are down, service is very slow and in all it is not impressive. I don?t know abt their paid email service. I hope paid subscribers must be getting best of the service. (If not ?then best of luck for those users?)
Shopping:
I love shopping on indiatimes.com Whenever I have done purchasing over the indiatimes.com I didn?t face any problem. My purchase experience is limited to DVD, VCD only. I am least bothering abt the other products. I am not saying this on my first time purchasing experience. I always received DVD, VCD on time, payment is credited properly. My only worry is abt-doing transaction by credit card (due to my bad experience with company credit Card.). I will be happy if they can extend their Cash on delivery service to many other cities.
To conclude,
I may be luckiest person to do the shopping on indiatimes.com without any problem. Hope you will also have good experience of shopping on indiatimes.com next time. Mean while if you know any other good / reliable in terms of (transaction / service) Indian site do write back to me and I will def. write a review if I got a bad experience with indiatimes.com shopping.
