India Times shopping- Do they care?

I just bought a Sansui Micro CD/cassette/RadioHIFI Music system -San 400CAST thru the india times shopping. The name of the dealer was given as AMS EXPORTER. The dealer had sent a product which was manufactured in the year 2002 at Ahmednagar. Now this is what is called cheating. Since we at e-commerce are not aware as to what we are going to recive, we like fools land up in this loop. It was supposed to be a 59th year birthday gift to my mother who stays at Kolkata. What she received the gift at her end was what seemed to be a reject stuff which was defective.

The player’s upper deck was open and the eject and the stop key wud not work at all.My brother took it to the service centre where he was being told to give details of the retailer and stuff. Since it was an internet shopping to expect my mother to have a cash challan and studd is just not possible. I just wish I had not got this gift and embarassed myself. In the first place, why shud they send a defective piece. To top it all  my brother has had to shell out Rs 400.00 for attendance charges (now whatever that means)...I just have only one request, please do not indulge in gifting thru India times and especially thru this AMS EXporter who seems to take his customers for a royal ride...PLEASE BEWARE OF AMS EXPORTER AND INDIATIMES SHOPPING!!! Do ur shopping at ur own risk....
