There are a number of sites which try and get you the cheapest airfares between destinations in India. Indiflight.com is a new contender in the space with some new ideas:
Withthe ’Search over multiple days’ option you can look for the cheapestairfare within a range of days on all the airlines. This means that youdon’t have to keep hitting back or edit itinerary to change the datelooking for a cheaper fare (on each of the airlines sites’).Signup for Notifications giving a date range, source and destination andyour budget and the site will send you email when tickets matching youritinerary and budget (lesser than) becomes available.Indiflightsearches more airlines, travel agents websites etc than the competitiondoes. I tried a sample search for flights between Delhi and Mumbai onthe 27th of September. The cheapest ticket on IndiFlight.com was Rs.925 whereas makemytrip.com started from Rs. 1875.and mostimportantly. unlike the competition (and most Indian websites). doesnot assault your senses with a barrage of FlashAd’s, cheap animatedGIF’s and confusing UI design.This is not to say that itsready for primetime yet. Its got notifications and it will get you thecheapest fares but the site redirects you to the appropriate webpage tobook the tickets for now. The search is a little slow right now sinceits got to aggregate info from a large number of sources. Theround-trip option will be added soon.
