Calcutta-Guwahati

I flew by Indigo from Calcutta-Guwahati on 31 January 2007. The flight was in the evening. In fact that was a bad weather day and almost 90% of the flights displayed were cancelled or rescheduled. I was almost losing hope when I saw the Indigo to Guwahati was right on time!

I paid 2221Rs. in total for the trip and I do not regret paying that amount for the flight considering that I was already on a long flight lag and the flight was on time.

Check in was smooth and there was a nice lady who kept passengers informing about security check and so on. As soon as we entered the brand new flight we realized that the flight was full of mosquitoes, when I say full of mosquitoes I really mean it was FULL of mosquitoes. All passengers started killing the mosquitoes and after some time the flight attendents started spraying some mosquito repellent sprays on the aisles, which eventually got sprayed on the passengers. I wonder what was there in the spray and what if some passengers are allergic to the contents of the spray. But I guess thats the price you pay to fly budget airlines!

Anyways, they served water and some pretzel kind of stuff on the 50 minutes flight which was OK. The flight attendents seem to be nice, but they are far below the standards of the Jet attendents.

It feels good to be in the Indigo flight as their flights are brand new, however they need to be better with the hygiene and stuff. Oh yeah, you can also buy drinks and snacks on board. I think flying security wise, they would be the safest as they fly planes which are brand new, definitely a go if your are flying budget!
