So late evening Indigo Delhi-Mumbai flight gets delayed. At airport, we keep hearing those stupid messages that flight is delayed because incoming flight has not arrived, etc.
But on the aircraft, the captain does a personal apology. Saying that on account of Delhi traffic, he took 2.5 hours to reach airport and that caused the delay!
Like what?
Aren’t the passengers also reaching the airport from all corners of Delhi and they just start early, to reach in time, don’t they?
What I suspect is that knowing the incoming flight was delayed, the pilots instead of heading in to the airport, would have stayed back some more time at their hotel, and then started, hit traffic, and got late, and delayed the flight further!
Once they announce a flight delay of 30 min, they KNOW the aircraft is coming in. So that 30 min becoming 2 hr is only because of this additional delay caused by the pilots!
Highly irresponsible!
