My first experience flying on Indigo. As it was the only airline with reasonable fares for a last minute booking, I went ahead. Due to the low cost tag, I was not sure what to expect. I was approaching with much lowered expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised on many counts:
Ramps are absolute joy. Whoever thought of this small detail is truly a caring person.
Checkin worked on first try at Kiosk. Amazing! The checkin counter lady pointed out I had accidentally picked a non-reclining seat and gladly changed it. Wow!
Delicious menu of in-flight variety, to suit all moods.
Clean and bright and new air-craft.
On landing, the sharp looking pilot(may be first officer) with cool aviator glares was at the exit with a broad smile thanking the passengers. I couldnt help but smiling back! I mean a real smile on a airline!
The one downside of all private airlines in India continues to be the flight attendants. I guess they are all led to think they are beauty queens and people cant help but admire them. But the truth couldnt be further from that and they just end up coming across as snobbish painted faces. Air-India is far better and all their staff is really friendly and knows to see through a person so they know how to deal with people far bettter.
Overall I strongly recommend IndiGo. The real treat was seeing the Captian or First Officer saying thank you personally.
