To my mind and I speak from much experience, today in terms of service and efficiency Indigo Airlines beats the best in the business be it Kingfisher or Jet. None of the other airlines can also match Indigo’s on time performance. The Indigo aircraft are new, clean and well maintained and oh so much leg space.
My recent experience on a Kingfisher flight from Delhi to Bangalore proved to be a horrifying experience. The spring on my seat stuck to my bottom for 2.5 hrs. The magazine rack in front came out of its hinges and was hanging. The in flight meal was much below standard and the flight attendants who call themselves models proved to be just too high and mighty.
I love the sandwiches they serve on board on Indigo. However, if youre the type who prefers a hot meal then my suggestion would be to buy whatever is your choice and carry it to the aircraft. My personal favorite is either KFC or Pizza Hut both available in the Delhi airport.
Oooops! I started by wanting to compare Indigo with Spice but here I seems to have compared it to the best of the best. Well, all I can say from my experience is if you want the following then fly Indigo. To my mind its the most efficient airline not only in but abroad as well.
1) On time flights
2) Polished and highly efficient crew and attendants.
3) Smooth check in and check out.
4) Definitely the lowest fare.
5) More leg space compared to other Low Cost Carriers.
6) New aircraft.
7) The wholesome in flight meals.
8) No stairs to climb to board the aircraft.
9) A no nuisance flight.
Having said this the check in counters in Kolkata needs looking into. Its really pathetic.
