Hi, Im from Bhubaneswar and working in Hyderabad. So I go home nearly 3 times a year and unfortunately there is no direct flight to Bhubaneswar except this Indigo. I have no choice other than indigo. For the last 10 years I have been a frequent flier on all other airlines(Air India, Kingfisher, jet and spicejet) . I find indigo as the worst among all. Since Im a frequent flier I have a hand held weighing machine which I use for weighing my check-in luggage and keep it below the limit. So I never faced any issues related to luggage in any airline. I also reach the airport well in time. So never faced any timing issue. However the worst part with indigo is the most uncomfortable seats.
The so called "on time" performance which is never true in my case and policies to extract money in whichever way possible.
Let me elaborate a bit.
1)The seats are nearly 90 degrees which go back only 1 inch. So if you put the seat belt a little tight, youll definitely have back pain and neck pain even in a flight of 1 hour. Whenever I travel with indigo, I have back pain for next 1 week. They custom made the seats like this to accommodate more people.
2) All my indigo flights are 30 min to 1 hr late. I have no clue how they advertise this "on time" tag.
3) They try to extract money whichever way possible. For instance selling seat selection combo with a snacks which is way too costly as compared to spicejet.
4) The most important point is they are NEVER cheap. If you see travel sites like makemytrip, cleartrip you can see they are the cheapest. But try to see by HOW much? You’ll find they are cheaper only by a few rupees(most cases below Rs 100) than other airlines. When we are spending thousands does it really matter to choose this airline and get all these pain for saving few rupees? For me it is not worth and I avoid this airline whenever I have a second choice.
