Safety compromised!!

Travelled on 1st Feb 2013, BLR-DEL. Flight was to take off at 2045, but due to fog in Delhi, the incoming aircraft was late. Finally we boarded at 2130 hrs. But, the woes just started. Flight was on ground for 2 hours (till 2330, by this time we should have been in Delhi). All the passengers were inside the flight for these 2 hours, because captain denied to fly (saying that the duty hours are over); also, we were assured that relief crew is coming in from Bangalore itself, and that is causing the delay. WHAT HAPPENED NEXT WAS UNACCEPTABLE - Same crew flew the aircraft to Delhi.


My first question is, what changed in 2 hours that the same crew flew the aircraft after 2 hours??? I WILL TELL YOU THE REASON - The original flight timing was 2045. If no boarding would have taken, people had the full right to cancel the tickets at 2245 hrs (if they were on ground). Indigo couldn’t afford to cancel this flight as this was a very high revenue flight, being Friday evening. So, the story is simple - Grab the money, by hook or by crook. I am never travelling by Indigo again and nor will anyone from my family/friends. These people have no ethics. Pathetic. INDIGO IS COMPROMISING SAFETY.


No wonder they are adding 1 plane every 6 weeks.
