Baggage Damage, Baggage Loss and Rude, Obnoxious S

I traveled from Mumbai to Bangalore on 1 April 2011, flight 6E-412, Indigo Airlines. When I collected my baggage at Bangalore, my bag was damaged. The zip had been broken and all the contents of one of the bag pockets were missing. Bills worth over Rs. 5000, election card, headphones, some money, etc. all gone.


When I complained to the Indigo Management, the tell me that my loss of luggage needs to weigh over 2kgs and only then they will help me otherwise they cannot do anything. They even went to the extent of telling me that if I was so concerned about my bills, I can go ask the shops to give me photocopies of them! My luggage weighed exactly 5kgs when checking in and 3.5 kgs when checking out.


They made me wait for over 3 hours at the airport and still did not do anything. More than the loss of luggage, I am appalled at the obnoxious and rude behavior of the staff. Their in-competencies and harsh behavior were completely unnecessary and some action needs to be taken against them.
