I did the mistake of including food as well when booking flight ticket with Indigo Airlines. 240 Rs. for veg meal. After getting in the flight, I saw that the food options are pathetic.
Paratha, sandwich, instant poha, instant upma, instant oats, etc. Of which whatever is not instant, they will announce sweetly that it will be served cold. I ordered for instant poha and after having it, I was sick with food poisoning for 2 days. This happened after having in Ahmedabad to Bangalore flight - 6E 153.
So book via Indigo as its economic and maintains the timing. But stay away from their FOOD !!
