I recently had a travel experience with IndiGo Airlines that I believe is essential to share. As someone who values transparency and accountability, I believe its crucial to speak up about both positive and negative experiences.
On August 15th, 2023, I was on a flight from Mumbai to Chennai with IndiGo Airlines. Ive been a loyal customer, but this experience left me frustrated and disappointed. ??
Upon arriving at the gate well within the boarding window, I, along with a group of fellow passengers, were shockingly denied boarding by a gate staff member named Lloyd. He claimed we were late, even though we were on time according to our tickets.
Our attempts to reason with him turned into a 15-minute argument, only resolved when a senior staff member intervened. If it werent for this intervention, we might have missed our flight on Independence Day, causing significant financial and emotional distress.
Despite reaching out to IndiGos customer support and the National Consumer Helpline, there has been no satisfactory resolution or compensation offered so far.
I strongly believe that as consumers, we have a right to voice our experiences, and its equally important for companies to listen and address our concerns. Im now taking steps to ensure my concerns are heard by sharing my experience with a wider audience and have also reached out to the National Consumer Helpline.
My hope is that sharing this incident, it will not only serve as a cautionary tale but also encourage airlines like IndiGo to improve their services and ensure passengers have a more positive travel experience.
