I was travelling from Hong Kong to Kolkata. My connecting flight was from Bangkok to Kolkata on Indigo. At Bangkok airport what I saw was unexpected. In terms of security check Bangkok airport is much advance than all airports in India. After security check its time to boarding. But before boarding some security staff came with table and started checking passenger bag before boarding and started removing some stuff bought from duty free stating that you can’t carry these thing as it is not allowed. I also saw removing some other things from passengers bag. I saw these type of security check first time.
My question is if Airport Authority has already done a security check and why this type of checking is required. If there is some article in passenger’s bag which can’t be carried these were already removed at security check counter. This was very embarrassing situation at the airport.
Before this I travelled from Dubai to Delhi and Indigo people were sitting with weighing scales to weight goods purchased from duty free shop. This type of service I saw first time. I travelled with Emirates and they never do these types of checking.
