Fragile Items Problem

Please do not hand over any fragile items to Indigo Airlines. They have no clue as to what Fragile means. In my opinion fragile for them means to throw the package from a lesser height. Despite repeatedly asking them about the handling my package was broken and damaged. I had told the person at the counter that what I was carrying was a framed painting with glass.


Though the item was packed with thermocoal and protected to the best of my ability, when I received it, it was damaged in multiple places. The kind of damage on the package indicates to me that Indigo does not have a provision in their aircrafts to accommodate such luggage. It would be better to pay other courier companies to get your stuff delivered to you.


It was put into the regular luggage and thrown on the baggage carousel. Even the manager at the airport was resigned to the fat that this is the best they could do. They took down my complaint but I know that it will fall on deaf ears.
