This may sound like blasphemy but I have this feeling , people visit Indigo more for the crowd than anything else! Finally a place for the middle aged to feel at home.Theres the eating area, bar, cigar lounge and open air dining.
I have friends who visit this place every Saturday night almost and when I ask them what they ate. They go.....ate??We just hung out! Even if it means, on the steps of the open air area.
What do you say about a place where one has to wait for 20 minutes to get valet parking and another hour to get your table.....you say its hot and happening!
Now to the famed food.....the rawas and tuna dishes are delicious. The risotto is so-so.The steak is yummmmmy, the pasta is average.Get the point??Hit on the right dish and you are in culinary heaven.
The onion bread which is served complimentary is oily but divine with the flavoured butters.
The desserts are ooh la la.I like em all!Cheesecake, brownie, bring them on.
A must try cocktail is Caprioscha(check my spelling), vodka based with sugar syrup, lime wedges and lots of ice and mint leaves.Lovely, refreshing even to a social drinker like me.
All in all, get set to spend around Rs 500/- per head MINIMUM, but hey you spent the night at Indigo!!
