The afternoon lunch buffet in IndiJoe’s is one the best places I’ve been to in recent times. I had been there upon the insistence of one of my friends and I’m glad he did so. The ambience is plain and ordinary. I felt the management / staff could have spiced up the place a bit with bright colours. Now let’s get to the reason why I like this place so much.
The food is simply extraordinary! I couldn’t have asked for more. The starters had a beautiful mix of both Indian & Continental items, there was no detail left untouched. Special mention goes to the egg & tuna salad, cold chicken salad, Italian pasta with tomato sauce and crispy Italian pizza. The main course has speciality items like Hydersbadi Mutton biriyani, Thai noodles, crispy fried noodles etc. Chicken lollypop, fish steaks & veg cheese balls are some of the other must try items on the menu. I’m a little disappointed with the desserts & sweets.
More varieties could have been offered as all you get is kulfi, vanilla / chocolate ice cream and other Indian sweets. The approx price per head is Rs350+ and this makes it a good deal. Some things to remember is that the afternoon buffet is quite poplar among people, especially software / BPO companies who go there regularly for team lunch. It would be a good idea to call in advance and book your reservation. IndiJoe’s is not that hard to spot, it is on Old Airport rd, next to TGI Friday’s.
