The Indira Gandhi National Open University, widely recognized by its short-form IGNOU, is a distance learning university located, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi, near the place where the buildings of South Asian University are being constructed. It is named after former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi.
It was established in the year 1985, a year after Ms Gandhi’s martyrdom. It is a central University. It the largest University in terms of students which exceeds more than 40 lacs.
IGNOU has different learning centers in and out of India. Having studied out of India in IGNOU, I can definitely assure all of you to get good education here. This is a place for those wanting to learn but do not have easy access to college.
