First of all I am writing this not after 1 experience with this hospital...but 3..that too with different doctors WHO ARE THEIR SO CALLED SUPER SPECIALISTS-- Dr.kasliwal - heart , dr. tickoo - gastro and dr. shakti bhan khanna - gynae.
All have excellent PR skills but somehow they dont have the time to review the case. With Apollo these are major problems:1. Its not for Indians anymore...they bother more about NRI and foreigners as they can loot them nicely, becoz they come to india for cheaper treatment compared to their country and apollo is exactly using this difference to loot everyone2.
The receptionists and secy of these senior doctors behave as if they are doing you a favour by giving an appointment. 3. The doctors dont work at peace...they have guests coming in, phone calls, total chaos...the doctor doesnt sit with you and discuss each and every minute detail of the case...because they are constantly disturbed..and they dont want to address to this problem becoz they want maximum patients...more money...simple...if they give you 30-40 mins discussing each and every detail of ur case...
They cant see more patients...therefore...their first action is to SEND YOU FOR APOLLO TESTS...WHICH ARE 3 TIMES THE PRICE OF TESTS DONE IN THE MARKET...i have compared every test...and its nearly 3 times the cost of a test done by Ranbaxy, Dr. lal pathlab - the most reliable test labs in india...i4. The doctors will discourage you from taking tests in other places...if at all a test reveals something..they will ask you to re do it in apollo..5. A DIAGNOSIS IS DONE AND A CONCLUSION DERIVED FOR MEDICATION / TREATMENT / SURGERY AFTER UNDERSTANDING EACH AND EVERY DETAIL..
WHICH THESE SO CALLED DOCTORS DONT WANT TO DO...they will jump to conclusions...advising surgery and expensive tests even when its simply NOT required6. THEY HAVE FOUND OUT A SIMPLE FORMULA...SEND THE PATIENTS FOR EXPENSIVE TESTS ..AND WHEN YOU HAVE THE RESULTS ADVICE THEM THE LAST POSSIBLE ACTION REQUIRED FOR THAT DISEASE SO THEY DONT HAVE TO WASTE TIME IN REVIEWING YOUR CASE AGAIN AND AGAIN...AFTER ALL THEY DONT WANT YOUR 800 RS CONSULTATION FEE..THEY WANT 2 LAKH RS SURGERY7. One can imagine the money mindedness of the hospital the moment you enter...the parking charges are Minimum Rs 25...almost twice to that of standard parking charges anywhere in delhi
ADVOCATES OF APOLLO...I HAVE THESE QUESTIONS...CAN ANYONE ANSWER THEM:1. Why tests in apollo are 3 TIMES the price of tests done by reputed pathologies like Ranbaxy, Dr. Lal Pathlab, when in fact it should be cheaper2. Why the doctors always insist to take tests from apollo 3. The doctors are never concentrating on the case...they are always disturbed by calls, receptionist, etc etc etc4. Why they ask ur profession and back ground most of the time ????5. Instead of carefully evaluating the case..studying the test reports and deciding the action...they like to jump to conclusions and advice the last resort surgeries, etc etc
