I had planned to book some resort in Nagarhole and posted some query in HolidayIQ for making some reservation. As the weekend was close I started searching myself in parallel to do the booking. I decided to book the Jungle Inn on my own and checked for availability.
Next day I got mail from Indus Outback Ventures with details for the resorts available in Nagarhole. We had a few exchanges of mails and the tour operator I had interacted with suggested me alternative sites. After evaluating the options I decided to stick to my original choice. Very strangely the operator tried to persuade me to make the booking through their website. I was astonished by the way they requested the favour so shamelessly, and I turned down the request - feeling that I won’t feel comfortable making my payment through their gateway.
A few days later I got a mail from HolidayIQ to provide feedback. I gave a very negative feedback - which was an honest feedback from my end.
After a few days I got a call from a person who claimed himself as representing the same agency - and asked me the reason for my negative feedback. Before I could complete narating the entire incident he turned his voice harsh and started misbehaving with me. He claimed that I would not have paid anything extra if I would have booked through them - and since they had approached me via HolidayIQ - they had to pay INR 550. When I told him that as a customer why should I bother how much they are paying or making - he started using abusive words. At that moment I disconnected the call.
This company is planning to make money in the short run without any ethics and without even rendering any proper service to a customer. We should definitely start black-listing these companies.
