My Mother-in Law admitted in Sahyadri Hospital, Hadapsar on 1st may 2013 and conducted Tests on 30th in the same hospital.
Problem: Even before under going for test, 2-3 days before we informed Indus help center about our surgery because six months before we conducted same tests and that time DR. suggested need of operation. So, we were aware about we need to do this.
After test means on 30th, DR clearly suggested the hospitalization and operation date, same we inform the Indus Counter, But still at the time of Admission, kept us on wait for more than an hour.
Problem: Indus informed us about operation cost and it was : 32900( appx, I don’t remember exact figure) they said, Indus will pay 29K something and remaining you need to bear. I asked them to provide Itemized bill, Said for that you need to go Head office. I called Help Line, there senior said, we don’t have the facility to send bill via Email OR Courier.. lol…
Problem: Height of Mental Harassment:- at the time of Discharge.
Discharge process started at 9.00 AM after Permission from Doctor, I have been told, the process will take 3-4 hours MAX. After 2 hours I asked the hospital counter about my file status, Said already being sent to billing. At 11.30 AM, Billing guy confirmed file status and he said in ½ hour I will clear it from my side. At 12.10, he submitted that file to Indus Counter, After that they started excuses like, your patient surgery was really critical, now our head office want reason why it was critical operation. 3-4 times I visited Indus Counter, 2-3 times called Indus help desk but no proper response.
I asked help desk, would be able to provide me a deadline for this process? And she said NO, I need 2-3 hours, I need to verify where your process stuck and only after that I am able to update the same with you. (after that she never called). After lot of harassment and follow up, I got the Discharge.
THIS DISCHARGE PROCESS TOOK 7 HOURS (started the process 9 and finished at 4 exactly)
So Conclusion, Think twice while buying Indus Health plan, Very Unprofessional, If you are there customer, be ready for mental harassment.
