Recently, I received a few Infibeam gift coupons and I decided to buy products against them. I have never used Infibeam site before. When I came to MouthShut.com to read about them, I was honestly scared and shocked seeing so many negative reviews. In fact, after reading some of the reviews, I even considered abandoning my hope of buying in Infibeam because I strongly believed one of the below three would happen:
a) My products wouldn’t be shipped at all because of their service standards. But they would keep insisting the products will be shipped and it will arrive safely. (God knows when)
b) My products would be shipped, but they might be damaged goods.
c) I’m going to lose the money, interest and efforts I spend in buying the product.
So after a lot of thought, I chose Cash-on-delivery option and ordered two books from the site. I placed the order on Monday night, and I did not expect any brisk service from Infibeam fellows. To my surprise, they have taken a lot of efforts and shipped my product THREE DAYS before its due to be delivered. :) :) :) My books were due to arrive only on Oct 23rd (Tuesday) but they have shipped and sent it to be delivered today Oct 20th (Saturday).
And because of this positive shopping experience, I’ll come back soon to buy more goods. The packing was good. It’s been pouring hard in Chennai for the past three days. Still the courier guys have delivered it safe and well. To add to the positives, Infibeam also offers courier tracking by providing the courier shipment details and I was able to track where exactly my goods were currently standing (Across India) on every single day till it was delivered.
My advice to the online shopping fraternity is - If you believe a site is bad and it will not deliver as it promises, simply choose Cash-on-delivery and wait to see what happens. Maybe it’s just my luck.. Or maybe Infibeam isn’t as bad as the reviews makes them appear. But whatever it may have been, my shopping experience at Infibeam was satisfying and good! Thanks Infibeam!
