This is going to be my first review ever at Mouthshut.com! I am excited! Onto the core of the matter.
I have been shopping online for quite sometime, sites like Indiaplaza.in, shopping.indiatimes.com, ebay.in( earlier Bazee), shopping.rediff.com and so many more. None of them got me my product as fast as infibeam!
I ordered for the Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, it was very affordable when compared to other online bookstores selling the book, and I got the book in 3 days! Thats what I call fast service.
Pros:
Amazon.com like interface, looks cool and uncluttered .

Wide range of products
Continuous emails from the site keeping me appraised on the status of the order

- Outdated CCAvenue online payment facility. I will explain.
When at a shopping site I add items to the card, and click checkout, I expect the steps required for the payment to be minimal and precise. Here after I clicked checkout and and had selected mode of payment, I was taken to a CCAvenue payment form where I had to verify again all the details, the mode of transaction etc in a long not so userfriendly form. I would expect infibeam to adopt one of the methods in use by other sites like Indiaplaza.in, where after checkout the steps are as simple as: select mode of payment > select bank or put in credit/debit card details > forwarded to bank site or Verified by visa or Mastercard portal > do transaction and done . thats it. I don’t like Infibeam’s current payment procedure, but thats a personal preference. On the bright side, even if I don’t like it, atleast it works just fine.
Overall I enjoyed the experience, and I am surely going to visit their site regularly and maybe again go on a splurging spree early next month:)
