I was one of the unfortunate ones who had placed an order on infibeam BEFORE reading reviews on Mouthshut.com. I had placed an order for a new Motorola V9 ferrai mobile handset on June 03, 2010. It was priced at Rs. 20, 800/-. I paid via my Netbanking account. They have recived the payment and the order status in their website shows "Shipping in progress". I realized that Infibeam is located in Ahemdabad city which is 100 Kms from my city Baroda.
This made me doubt as to why I haven’t recieved my product yet. So I started inquiring with them. The first 2 responses were "thodey dino me mil jayega" (I would get it in a few days). After that I received an email stating "Product is not in stock" and they suggested a possible alternate product (which I was not interested in.
Now first things first - How do you catalog a product on your website that you don’t have with you AND post it as "IN STOCK" ?
And all that is fine. But after I received this intimation, I emailed them twice and even called them once but there is no response from their side as to whether or not my order has been cancelled and more importantly, when will I get my refund ? I have already paid them Rs. 20, 800/- via my netbanking account for a product that they did not have with them in the first place.
And now I don’t even get a simple email response from them stating when I will get the refund. I hope that they read this review of mine because I would like to tell them, THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DO BUSINESS. I understand that there might be rules and procedures to a refund too. But the least you can do is respond immediately to let me know what is going on. I hereby request them to just get me my money back within the next few days as I need that money. It is not a small amount that someone can just crib about and then forget.
