My previous experience with Infibeam has been good, esp. the prices. Packing is good and they use good couriers(never received damaged goods) and also take care of Octroi. Have also recommended it to friends and colleagues. However, my recent experience has soured my opinion about this e-com site.


Gift Voucher(order # 1046955) received from them bears 6 months validity but the site says its not valid even before a month from the date of issue. Since then, I have been experiencing Infibeam’s pathetic customer service. It can take ages to connect to their customer care of phone and it is not a toll-free number. When connected, I’m told to send an email explaining the issue. Then why does the phone support exist? Even after wasting time in taking pictures and composing mails several times, there is absolutely no response thru email. This is my previous experience too - they have NEVER responded to emails. Posts on Twitter are also not responded too. So basically, there is no medium thru which you can contact Infibeam.


This is EXTREMELY poor customer service. This kind of customer service does not inspire any confidence to buy anything at all or even recommend it to anybody, esp. for higher value products; as the real test of a e-com site is when things don’t go right and issues need to be addressed.


Customers may take note of this before placing orders based on price alone.
