I have been shopping online frequently since 2003. Recently, mostly via flipkart (fk), letsbuy and the last one shopping via infibeam (ib) i chose ib over fk for the last order only considering a quicker delivery. But i realized the mistake only after ordering. Fk shows the time to " delivery" and ib the time to "shipment". So ultimately, if fks 4 days is faster than ibs 1 day. But even after doing all this ib doesnt even ship the item on time. My order 9022192 said it ships on 9th. It has not been shipped on 9 the not even on 10th.
And there isnt even an update from ibs side about the delay. I think these kinds of delays are common for ib. They dont care about the customers after the payment is made and dont even update them about impending delays.
I hope they wake up soon and learn the basics of customer service.

Thanks to mouthshut, I got a response (turned out to be yet another false promise from infibeam. Ib promised a shipment on 11th but proved again that they dont care for poor customers. You are proving again and again why you are the worst! Will I atleast get my money back after a weeks torture??

Me: thanks for keeping your promises...the product was not only shipped on 11th, but also delivered on the same day. You guys rock!!! Please dont give false promises to customers. There are better business available if you want rip off customers. Is this now you are realizing that the product was being sourced from a different location? What a joke!!

Update on 12th July , afternoon.
I just called up the customer care and learned from rajiv that the product is not available with the vendor. Dont anyone with common sense, check the stock before providing the information on web site.
To my surprise, the product is still shown as " in stock. Free shipping in India! Ships in 2 business days." what a shame!! They say that these kind of things are rare at infibeam. In that case, at least someone should call me and update about this "rare happening", right? No one has called me so far. Im sure this is common with infibeam. How many calls should they make everyday?
I lost hopes of getting it delivered on time. Even today, customer care repeats the same. Within 24-48 hours, the product will be shipped. They are saying it for the last 4 days. I asked rajiv (ccare) transfer the call to his supervisor. Supervisor amina promised me a call back in an hour. Got the call now and promised again that the product will be despatched today. And that i will receive an email confirmation before 7:30 pm. Let;s see what happens.

Update on 13th July
As everyone of us expected the shipment was not made even yesterday. This is pathetic!!
I have sent an email to infibeam to cancel the order and keep my money with them to improve their service.
