Infinix Smart 4 Plus: Worth the hype!

At a time where smartphones are sprouting up everyday like grass in the market, it can get a little difficult sometimes to decide on which is the best one to buy and whether they are worth the money. The Infinix Smart 4 Plus launched in India on July 21, succeeding the Infinix Smart 3 Plus. Following on that, the Infinix Smart 4 Plus, priced at Rs. 7, 999 is a pretty good deal for the budget buyers in the market.


The Smart 4 Plus features a 6.82-inch HD+(720 X 1, 640 pixels) IPS display with 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio and an aspect ratio of 20:5:9. The smartphone is available in three colour variants of Midnight Black, Ocean Wave and Violet, all of which look very sleek and stunning. The Smart 4 Plus is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio A25 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The MediaTek Helio A25 is an entry-level ARM SoC which is manufactured in a 12nm FinFET process and is equipped with 8 ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores that are divided into two clusters. A performance cluster with 4 cores clocked at up to 1.8GHz and an efficient cluster clocked at up to 1.5GHz. The MediaTek chipset with its powerful technology and operational efficiency is a boon for this new smartphone.


The Infinix Smart 4 Plus is available in a single variation of 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage that is expandable further up to 256GB via a microSD card. The phone is armed with a massive 6, 000mAh battery, which the company claims delivers 23 hours of video playback and 38 hours of 4G talk-time along with 44 hours of music playback, 23 hours of web surfing, and 13 hours of gaming on just a single charge. In connectivity aspects, the phone includes dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, and USB port.


The Infinix Smart 4 Plus comes with a dual-camera setup on the rear that comprises dual 13-megapixel camera along with a triple LED flash. The camera does well in low-lighting and under normal light clicks vibrant and well-focused pictures. There is also a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie shooter camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Other sensors the phone has includes ambient light sensor, G-sensor, gyroscope, e-compass, and proximity.


The Infinix Smart 4 Plus is a new addition in the ever-growing pool of budget segment smartphones in the mobile market, which is jam packed full of features and significantly delivers on the money.
