Cablenet looked like heaven...no phone bills, cool speeds and 24/7 access. My illusions were shattered after I went in for an In2Cablenet internet connection. After the dotted line was signed and we paid them the installation amount, it took them 25 days to get the connection started. The speed was decent although access was pretty erratic- everytime I couldnt access the net Id have to call them and theyd ask me to reboot my PC in 5 mins and it would get okay. This went on and a lot of days I had to go without a connection. Then a major glitch occurred and the net wouldnt work. That was the beginning of all my troubles. I kept calling them and they didnt respond or theyd tell me it was a temporary problem. Finally I gave up. A month and a half later they called me to ask as to why I hadnt paid my bills! Upon telling them that I had no access they said theyd get back to me and of course they didnt. I decided to give one last try and called them. Finally an Engineer came to my place and I was told there was a problem with my LAN card. I had it replaced at my own cost despite the fact that I had already paid them a hefty installation fee. The worst was yet to come. My connection still wouldnt work. Once again an Engineer came to my place and I was told that there was a problem with the wire connecting the modem to my PC and that I would have to get it replaced at my own cost. They also told me that my account had been deactivated and that I would have to contact their billing department to have it reactivated. A barrage of calls later I still dont have a connection. Somebody ought to give these people a Crash course on Customer Care. After all the torture Ive gone through, my sincere advice to ppl is please think twice before you go in for a Cablenet connection and do check out the credibility of your provider and PLEASE do not take all the crap they print on their brochures at face value. Hope this was helpful!
