In2cable@bangalore

In2cable were one of the first ISPs in bangalore to offer 64KB/s download rates and unlimited access... so I thought, why not, and jumped on it. Initial costs were of course a deposit for the cable modem (because I wanted to rent), some connection fees, had to purchase a network card and so forth. They had let me try the connection for few days before they asked me to sign on the dotted line. Once I had given them money, the problems started.

For the first few months, the connection was good and I had 24/7 access, unlmited MB transfers and so forth. Few months down the line, and the problems really started for me. Frustrating at best. Plenty of down time and confusion. I think the longest downtime I had experienced with this poor excuse for an ISP was close to a month... or 3 weeks, I cannot remember exactly.

Well, when they had finally managed to resolve it, they promised they would knock it off the next payment... of course by which time I had stopped paying them because of the nonsense they were trying to pull. They were blaming it on some sort of gateway problem they had, and now they would have an even better gateway from singapore or some crap... needless to say, once you’ve had cable internet, it’s difficult to whean yourself off it, so I turned back to them (making a huge mistake) clearing all my due charges and was online once again. After coming back from a vaction I had noticed my internet speeds to have plummited from 64 KB/s (that’s KILOBYTES and not kilobits) to 8 KB/s... that’s a divident of 8 by the way.

They promised lower costs per month... which ended up somewhere around 1000 rs... plus the cablemodem rental @ 500 rs... initially I used to pay 2000 for the internet and 500 for the modem. ok, if that had been the case, fine... after many months of costumer ABUSE I had decided to take my money back and move to a different ISP.

So I call them and say i’m quitting their services, they send over a guy who picks up my modem and runs away. Ever since that day I have been tryign to get my deposit back. That’s 10, 000 rs for your information. on top of trying to cheat me several times, these B@^#@RDS had the cheek to claim that I had missed some of my paymetns and would therefore only return 6500 rs of my 10k deposit.

After having checked with the bank, I had obtained my account transcripts and given in2cable a copy clearing my name. Now i’m upto 6+ months having waited for my money. I’ve been in contact with a individual called Kiran at USN (usn handles the in2cable accounts in bangalore as for as I know).

Initially, this individual had helped get somewhere, saying that he would do this and that... as the months progressed he ended up doing nothing. Not sure if it’s his fault but he is repsonsible for my account and therefore I mention him here. Now he avoids me, never picks up the phone and I’m left with a single option and that is to go to his office and beat the @#$% out of him. So, that’s my story.

I hope you’ve read it... and read it again. It’s the truth. In2cable are the WORST liars and cheaters in India when it comes to ISPs. I’m now with zeenext and they’re pretty good (so far).

BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT SIGN OR GIVE ANY MONEY TO THIS COMPANY. IT’S THE LAST TIME YOU WILL SEE IT. THEIR COSTUMER SERVICE IS WORSE THAN WHAT A GOVT. AGENCY CAN GIVE YOU. DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM, EVENTHOUGH THEY’RE THE ONLY ONES IN YOUR AREA. BELIEVE ME, IT’S NOT WORTH IT.
