I had heard of Inorbit Mall, Mumbai and had good feedback about it. I often wondered when it would open shop in Pune. It seems my wish has been granted. Inorbit Mall opened its doors to Puneites in early April.
I visited the mall over the weekend and was pleasantly suprised.
With malls springing up left, right, center and whereever there is a wee bit of space, the only thing common in malls are its space crunch, the claustrophobic feeling and the pathethic paid parking.
Inorbit Mall in a sense is refreshing, the parking is spacious and FREE to begin with. Maybe a few months down the line, it will go paid, but it would still be worth it.
The mall itself is very spacious. Every floor the shops have ample of space in front of them, and dont look cramped for space. I visited a few shops on my visit.
Lifestyle store is spread over two floors. There were quite a few shops for Indian wear, which is refreshing as most malls have western wear shops and the Indian wear shops either will be negligible or absent.
There are shops for everything, clothes, bags and accessories, footwear, jewellery and even a multipurpose grocery store, much like a combination of Big Bazaar and Dorabjee.
You get everything under one roof. There is also a multiplex namely CINEMAX which I understand is yet to commence operations. Once fully operational, Inorbit Mall can be an ideal place to spend a day with family.
I hope it lives up to its reputation and the very features that are appealing today remain the same the couple of years down the line.
