Calcutta a place where people were deprived of quality movie viewing has been given an opportunity of view movie in an international ambience. Calcutta cinema halls (single screens) even now are horrible, no air-conditioning, filthy toilets, rude staff, unruly public, one can even find rats and cats roaming in some of them. They only shout of poor audience. Talking of INOX all the problems where solved at one go. But there are thorns with the roses. I watch all the movies irrespective of the story, star cast whatever. I have seen almost 98% of the movies released in the last 5-6 years. The quality of inox has gone down with the passage of time. The seats are gone dirty. The biggest problem is the box office (ticket counter) the person there are often rude, the phone booking seldom works, one has to dial 20 times at an average to get through a customer service executive. Every time one is reminded that the people are attending another call. Most of the time it is told that phone booking for forum is not available (available only to hutch subscribers). And to add salt to injury the net booking is closed. The worst part is even when the net booking was working it used to start only late Thursdays or second half of Fridays when manual booking at the counter opens on Wednesday. Secondly the schedules are not updated on the website till late Thursdays.
Overall I would say that INOX although is a nice place it needs to immediately do something about its booking problems else with more multiplexes coming up in the city I fear the favorite joint might loose some of its regular patrons.
