I have been to the Fame Cinemas recently to watch the movie Kaminey and as I heard so much about this movie, I was very excited and bought the gold class tickets! However, fame cinemas spoiled my party and it started with the internet booking itself (the site is generally poor, sometimes you may not be able to login). First, when I used the change seats option, my seats were shown in the middle but the direction of the screen was not shown!!
However, as it was showing 23 seats available, I assumed that the already allocated seats were good but to my surprise when I entered the theatre I found them in one corner and in the first row!! And believe me, it is pathetic to watch the movie from there and I guess thats why they don;t show the screen direction otherwise people would not buy the tickets!! And, they charged Rs 20 per ticket as convenience for causing this utter inconvenience! But the good part was I could trade my king miles to buy the tickets though was forced to buy Rs 60 worth of food coupons.
The seats and sound system were good but obviously can;t appreciate the picture quality or screen as it was too near and I faced tremendous difficulty to follow the movie when it was in fast motion or close-up!
One thing about the food stall outside (selling sandwitches etc) - those guys are fraud and they will try to sell you stuff before even you enter by saying that 80% of the stuff is sold. The guy simply lied to me that the cleaning was going on just to make me wait and trying to sell his shoddy food! When the time came to deliver it, I had to remind him!!
Overall, the experience was bad and I wish I had chosen another theatre! The price less than the PVR gold class but the bad experience costed me more than that differential!
