A few advantages/plus points first:
Tickets are easily available. For the 8:15 PM show I have bought tickets at 7:00 PM. And the seats were bang in the centre.
Tickets are also easy to book. These isn’t much of a rush at the ticket counter. Plus they have teller machines where you can book and print out tickets on your own(similar to self check-in kiosks that some airlines are now using at this airports.)
Cheaper than INOX / PVR.
Seats are comfortable – no complaints.
The theater plays the National Anthem before every movie. The only theatre that I have been to which does this.
Now a few negatives:
The biggest one first: absolutely “zero” time management. Our movie actually started at 8:50 PM(time on the ticket was 8:15 PM), a 35 minute delay. And believe me this isn’t an isolated incident, I have been to this theatre plenty of times and each time there is atleast a 30 minute delay in the movie start.
Now during the delay we were presented with advertisements from HDFC etc … which were looped till the movie started. Infact when the screen went blank for a couple of minutes there was applause.
No trailers, only advertisements. I like to see adverts of forth coming movies ….
The approach is bad .
Lido Mall! the less said the better(you basically cant do anything else there)
