Review : hello how are? khana kha ke jaana han. If you dont have the slightest idea whats gone into me, this dialogue comes from the famous serial khichdi by none other than hansa aka supriya parekh. my initial reaction to this serial was.. what nonsense is this. all the characters are so ridiculous, but then thats the whole point, they are meant to be like that to make us see the lighter side of things.
we hear pj’s all the time in our life, some do crack us up. khichdi does exactly that. the serial consists of a gujarati family starting with tulsidas parekh the head honcho of the family who is always upset with his son praful for his lack of common sense and his daughter - in -law and prafuls wife hansa for having no sense at all. this couple has a daughter named chakki. the other members include jayshree whose also a bahu of the house with his son jackie. there are a hosts of others like sanjay, himanshu etc.
aptly titled khichdi its a comedy of errors committed by the whole family. hansa shows perfect timing and is brilliant at potraying a senseless innocent bahu who loves to dress up and cant live without gajras. she won this years best female comedian at the recently held tv awards for this serial. unlike the other saas-bahu sagas that always make you see the darker side this serial offers pure entertainment and makes you laugh at their foolishness. for every one who enjoy govinda kind of comedy - this serial is a must see every tuesday at 8.00 p.m.
