Beautiful as it is, Khichdi definitely takes the honour of being a pure comedy, a concept which had vanished since long....
Hansa is adorably infectious... Praful is too good .. and Jayshree... is just awesome.. What is worth seeing here is that this gang has absent-mindedness ingrained into them all the time... Well... what is more worthwhile is the variety Khichdi provides through their monotonous actions....in every episode, Hansa will stymie at any English word which Praful (clean, clean!!) will clear from his own dictionary (can we call it ’Praful-ster’??) Praful has to behave like a nut everytime. so must jayshree act like a jealous neighbour( saguna!!) apart from that, the hot hot tempered babuji must quip raju for getting mellisa as his daughter-in-law.
Albeit, it is enjoyable in every episode.
the typical bumpkin accent of hansa is great!! since it is a typical gujarati family, you can expect certain gujju words such as ’Jalkukdi’, ’Kudkudeswari’ etc. The most noteworthy part of the series is that none of them goes to work and how they run the family is still a mystery( just like jayshree’s husband, who never seems to come back from London)
Khichdi is definitely worth a watch. the actors are doing a superb job . esp. Hansa. go.. take a mouthful of it!!
