I bought it on the first visit to the market. The Intel stck1a32wfc has the size of a few thumb drives, and it packs some decent specs on a miniature frame. This stick is also competitively priced, coming in at just$150 retail price tag. It comes with a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor which boasts a clock speed of 1.3 GHz and can turbo boost up to 1.83 GHz. The processor has a 2MB cache and comes with Intel HD Graphics. The stick also comes preloaded with a 32-bit Windows 8.1 Operating System and Bing, Microsoft’s internet search engine.
With a footprint this small, of course, the Intel compute stick definitely has some noticeable drawbacks. Firstly, it only supports a single display and has only one single USB port for connectivity. The Atom processor fails to handle multitasking efficiently and slows productivity down to unbearable speeds. The stick also gets noticeably warmer after a few hours of usage, which also hampers the processor speed.
For its first attempt, Intel has certainly introduced a novel item on the market that can handle most of the daily monotonous computing tasks with ease such as browsing.I am using it with my led to convert it into smart one and using it in the workplace to get a personalized experience.One major benefit and selling point of the Compute Stick is that the power consumption of the Intel stick is minuscule, which means you can operate this machine for extended periods of time without worrying about your electricity bill.
