Intelligent Investor is one of the best magazines I have read. Very readable, simple, to the point, sincere. This is one of the few magazines which is printed with an intention that it should serve the reader with some useful purpose and it meets that goal remarkably well, I am very glad to say. This magazine brings the world of finance with all its associated snob jargons to the layman.
It gives very useful advice on everyday finance issues like loans, pension, savings et al. The average middle class and upper middle class direly needs such a magazine. It is not expensive either, at 15 rs per copy, and is published twice a month.
The layout is very aesthetic and pleasing. They have regular columns which are very entertaining and informative at the same time. There is a section on Automobiles where a automotive journalist gives some very very sensible and down to earth advice.
No wonder the circulation of this magazine has shot through the roof. The magazine has now been renamed outlookmoney. The website is https://outlookmoney.com.
Supremely useful magazine. A lot of info for young people on how to start investing et al. Provides tips on what stocks to invest and exit. Some of their tips have proved really accurate and those who heeded have made big money.
In other words, it is a must-have magazine, to even people who are not very serious about stocks/ investing et al. Lots to learn, that too joyfully. :)
