I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a series of short stories as much as this book. They all come from a Desi background, but all of them intrigued me. Starting with the cover story, I found myself particularly hooked. Listening to each story, I could imagine being in that environment. Every message was effortless and sensitive. It’s rare to find so many stories in one book, but now I understand why this book and its author are so admired. I have to comment on the narrator. She was very good at pronouncing most Hindi words. Her accent and phrasing also fit the theme of the story. Overall I highly recommend this.
