I will start the review with few admissions:
- I took a risk in buying a TV of unknown brand. 2. I had a feeling that the TV will last for 3 years and after that since the technology changes so fast, this TV will become out dated and I will anyways upgrade. At Rs. 22, 500/- the amount that I paid, I found the deal was good. 3. Out of the box the picture quality was very good, the sound was also good, connectivity etc was also good and I though that Intex has improved on their quality. 6. Here I was wrong. Some thin, light black streaks, and light black spot, visible against white or blue back ground started showing on the display. This happened in the 10th month of purchase. At first I thought there can be some problem with my cable set top box. But after getting that changed, the spots were still there and than I realised there is a problem in my TV. 7. By that time the 12 month warranty period was over and the company took their hand off from the problem and wanted me to pay Rs. 22, 000/- for new panel I I want it to be repaired.
Mu conclusion: Intex is offering cheap products which are of sub standard quality and cannot compete in this Consumer Electronics Segment. Stay away from their products. Their products are not long lasting and a time may come that they may have to exit the market all together. Avoid it.
