Since I regularly started chatted with my friends over the internet through Msn/Yahoo Messenger, I felt the need of buying a webcamera which not only had ’Good Picture Quality’ but Stylish looks too.After surveying the market, reading feedbacks and keeping the price factor in mind, I decided to go for ’Intex Webcamera’.Most of the people here wouldnt have heard of ’Intex’ but I must tell you that it’s an multinational company which produces computer accessories and no doubt that it’s superb.
According to me:-
The webcam is uncomplicated or effortless i.e it is trouble free and easy to use/handle and the software is simply awesome/gr8.................For 500 bucks it’s damn cheap.........
Looks:
This webcam indeed is very smart, trendy, fashionable(I dont have more words....) as you can see it in the picture.The silver finish adds to it’s beauty and is available only in silver colour.You are not able to put your eyes off this product and will continue to stare at it till someone shakes your body.
Features:
Hehe :), this webcam is low on price but has all the features which one needs/requires or I can say desires:
1. Video Capturing- You can make a movie/video by simply switching into the ’Video Mode’ and pressing the snapshot button.Oopss-oopsi, the image/picture quality decreases while taking a video due to the continuous shaking of hand or due to the lack of pixels.
2. Still image Capture- Through this option you can take still image swhich later on can be saved onto your hard drive.It supports many modes, like-: Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Self Mode etc...
3. Snapshot Button- This button is located on the top of the webcam.As soon as you press it, the camera gets activated and clicks a photo of yours.Then you can store/delete the photo as per your desire.You can also change action assigned to it. For eg-: Change the action to ’Video’, so whenever you will click the button, the cam will start capturing a video.(Helpful for doing sting operations....he he...just kiddin)
4. Red L.E.D- LED stands for Light Emitting Device...The red coloured small bulb is placed just behind the resolution nob. It starts glowing as soon as you start the cam or press the snapshot button................
------------It supports CIF , QVGA & QCIF picture formats.Through these formats the picture/video clicked by you get’s subsampled, cropped, sharpen etc.You just have to sit back and relax.
------------It can be connected to the computer through USB Cable/Port or Serial Port.
------------Supports 100K/300K Pixels.
(100 K during Video Mode & 300 K during Still Image Mode)
------------Automatic Black Compensation i.e. it can automatically adjust the resolution according to the light being reflected at the back of it.
------------Works with almost each and every messenger like-: Skype, Msn/Yahoo etc (Which supports the webcam feature.)But before using it with a messenger many tests have to be cleared, Like-: Speaker Test, Camera Test, Pixel Test...(Only in this webcamera)
------------Extra flash lights can be bought from the market which later on can be fixed next to the camera eye which helps us to take a video/portrait in dark also.
Software:
The software which I got with the webcam was outdated and then specialy had to download a newer version.After downloading it, I started the installation process and guess what??? it was complete in exactly 3.4 minutes.It’s a starightforward software with no fancy/classy interface.
Special’s: The webacam can be twisted 360 degrees, Up and Down. An opening is there at it’s back through which a thin thread goes in.Then the other end of the thread can be tied to the wall, hence it get’s hanged.The whole base of the webcam is like a ’clip’.Through which the cam can be fixed on the table, keyboard, monitor etc.The nob provided next to the camera window, helps in adjusting the resolution manually.
Note:After seeing all the factors/angles(Price, looks, features, standing in the market), I highly recommend this it to the people looking for a Gr8 product with high end quality but less on budget......
