It was in the same time last year that I got a call from far relative of mine, he wanted an hour time from me to discuss on a business opportunity with me, I agreed and we met in our house for a discussion.Between I was wondering what he wanted to discuss with me as he is a big businees men and he was a well know distributor of Coorg honey in Bangalore.After asking my whereabouts he questioned about my knowledge about Insurance, it was now my turn to expalin about insurnace as I am an advisor for Reliance life and earning around 15K- 20K comission apart from my salary, It would definitely covers my few unwanted expenses like credit card bills, booze.cigtrttes etc.
He asked how much premium I need to collect and how many people I need to meet to earn that much, I said around 1lac per month approximately around 10-15 people.He said if I show any opportunity where you can earn 1lac per month without much efforts and will you ready to do? I thought for a moment and said yes. He continued and said forget that you are an insurance advisor and think as normal person and tell me what benifite you will get when you take an insurance policy( ULIP). I said I will get some amount after 3yrs of lock in perod and if wont withdraw I would get some handsome amount after 10 or 15 years. He said I have a plan where a person invest in insurance and he refers two or more people to buy the same policy immediately he starts earning. Oops.It is an MLM no way I am going to do this.it is not my cup of tea as many of my friend approached me to join Amway, herbal life.etc. was my answer.
He started to explain about the company named TLC( Team life care), TLC is the channel partner for Bajaj allianz life insurance company and they contribute 10% of the business to BALIC. TLC is started as a channel partner from 2004 and last year turnover was nearly 700cr and for 2009 they are expecting to cross 1000 cr. I was shocked to hear the financial of this company. I said I need a day time so that I can do you research on this( As I work for a worlds leading market research company I have a habit of doing research for all things).
After doing a fair bit of research I found that this company has a clear vision for growth and also came to know that these guys are ISO 9000:2001 certified and know what they are doing. Unlike other MLM they are not into any of the products but into investment. They deal with only insurance policies(ULIP).They work in simple 1:1 Binary plan, If a person wants to become a business partner then he need to take BALIC policy through TLC.Whatever the amount a person invest for that amont he will get a policy, apart from that he need to pay a onetime lifetime charge 500/- to TLC for the business opportunty.Once a person joins this business he needs to refer more and more people. The maxium amont a person can earn 50K per fortnight( Two payouts in a month), apart from the normal referal incentives they are many lucarative rewards like foreign tour, car, pension schemes etc.overall it was a worth research.
One fine day me and my wife decided to join this business, before joining we did make sure that we answered few of the questions like.what are our short term goals? What are our long term goals? What could be the approximate budget to meet each of these goals?Using your current opportunities, what are the possibilities to reach /Achieve them?
Answers to these question made us to join this Business . I have joined this business by taking a policy of 5000HLY and now I have 7 different ID’s where I have an earning potential of 7lacs permonth. My team is growing as I have around 100pepole now.
I would like to end this write up by saying " Though most of the people are salaried and self emloyed, to get the financial freedom we need to jump to other quadrant of the life as Robert Kiyoski mentoned in Richdad and poor dad, In this recession period I suggest people to switch over to other alternative career like this where you can grow by levaraging other peoples time, effort, contacts.etc."
Final Note: To get 100people alone in my business would have taken 2-3 years for me. Where as with other people efforts I am growing my business.Raw material for my business is people and it is very abundant in world.
