IOS v/s Android : Major Differences

Our smartphones are ruled by two major Operation Systems ( OS) , one is Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android.

I am sharing major Differences to make you ease for choosing the right platform for you.

  1. Apple’s iOS is not open source and you will find the same in iPhones and iPads only whereas Android is Open source and you will find it on numerous branda like Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Lenovo, Pixel, LG named a few.

  2. Security and System updates are fast in iOS and you will get them on day the same day of release whereas Android updates are bit slower than released bases on regions. For me iOS is more secure than Android.

  3. iOS is not highly customised and controlled by Apple only, user has limited access to customisation like you cannot change system fonts, system beahaviour, app launcher etc. whereas Andoid is highly customised and you can mould it as per your taste.

  4. iOS doesn’t allow to apply third party themes to change the look and feel of the device whereas Android supports allow to apply third party theme availble in Google Play Store.

  5. iOS Apps have better app quality, graphics, usability whereas Android apps have low quality and graphics comparer to iOS.

  6. If you want to try iOS you have to pay more as iPhone range starts from 16k onwards ( iPhone 5s 16GB is availlable in 16k) wherese you can taste Android in just 7-8k and variety of android devices are availabe in the market.

  7. Sharing between iOS to iOS is very easy via inbuilt Airdrop feature but sharing between iOS to Android or Window is not possible and you have to accomplish by downloading thirs party apps like Shareit and Xander where sharing feature of Andoird is very good and you can share any file between cross platform without any hassle.

In short, if you want secure and realiable operating system and customisation is your leas priority than go for iOS. And if you prefer highly customisation, Android is the only option for you.
