Very awaful experience. We went there for my mother’s gaulbladder stone operation as the a expenses in another hospital of Durgapur was too high for us.My elder sister told Doctor Surit Majumder(H.O.D microsurgical, IQ City Hospital) that we are unable to bear the expenses of 57000 R.S as charged by the other hospital. Then he assured us that he would do it in a reasonable rate. One of our friends got the same operation there only in 30, 000 r.s but we were told that the whole package will be cost 45, 0000. We became agree as my mother was suffering with pain for a long time. On 1.1.2020 we admitted my mother there. The operation took place on 2nd January 2020. Though the doctor told us that the patient ( my mother) would be discharged within 3 days yet she had to stay there for 5 days as doctor wanted to keep her in observation. But at the 5th day when the final bill arrived they said that we have due of 17, 000 rs. though we had already paid 43, 000 r.s. On the date of admission they told us that a.c bed charge was 1200r.s but during the final bill they charged 2000 r.s per day. When we counter questioned them they said the rate has been changed from January 2020.wtf??.After many argument they only gave a discount of 4000. There was no high authority to talk about it as the day was Sunday. So, We decided to talk about this with the doctor who did the operation and did not take the discharge. Next day the doctor told that we had to pay the other bills he would only write them to consider the bed charges. We are still hoping to get the money back. Don’t know what will happen. Please, it is my warning that if you don’t have any health card or Mediclaim like us, be sure to be clear about the
Packages there otherwise these greedy money suckers will make you bankrupt. In the name of good treatment they are deceving peopleI’m not directly claiming that the doctor did this all but we were trapped. In hope of better treatment in a microsurgery we havewasted our time, money and my mother suffered a lot. So be aware.
